Serbian song on this Eurovision Song Contest is Nije ljubav stvar, but in its English version it is called Synonym.

Do you know what a synonym is? Here is the definition:

synonym,  noun [countable] – a word that has the same meaning as another word. For example ‘scared’ is a synonym for ‘afraid’, sorrow is synonym for sadness, shut is synonym for closed, ect.

Sinonim ( grč. synonymos, istog imena, istog značenja ) ling. – srodica, reč koja je slična po smislu, po značenju sa nekom drugom reči dok se po obliku od nje razlikuje. Na primer, plašiti se je sinonim za bojati se,  nesreća je sinonim za tugu.

In this song, according to the poet, LOVE is synonym for PAIN. I would not agree with him, but I like the song and the lyrics, too. What about you? What is your synonym for LOVE?
